Yes, my husband is a STUD.

You know how, when you're like 14 you make a list of all the qualities you'll be looking for in your future husband? Maybe not, but if you're Mormon, those lessons in Young Womens start before "legal" dating age! So I had always known some of the things I'd be looking for, but I think my list probably looked just like every other girl's-- pretty generic. The usuals: return missionary, priesthood holder, sense of humor, honest, loving, blah blah blah.

Of course I found all of that and more in Ricardo. What they don't tell you is that you're going to get some bonus traits that you never would have thought to ask for. If I could go back to age 14 and make my list again, knowing I'd end up with Ricardo, these are some of the awesome things I'd have included on my list:

-Able to work miracles with the computer (and the patience to deal with my tantrums when I CAN'T make the computer work properly)

-Able to fix anything and everything around the house, from one of my earrings, to furniture. And he doesn't think I'm stupid or get upset when I ask him to fix small things like earrings and necklaces.

-Able to catch a fly George of the Jungle style-- with his bare hands. And able to flick them right out of the air with any type of cloth.

-A better parent than I, as a mother, could ever be. Ricardo works miracles with the little 3-year old tantrum thrower that I just don't have the patience for.

-Not just funny, but HILARIOUS. Makes me laugh every day.

-A wicked sense of direction. I can still get lost in my own neighborhood. Ricardo has a built-in GPS.

-Can be the voice of reason when I'm emotional and have lost my cool.

-Can clean the kitchen like nobody's business, and often surprises me with it :)

-Will often dance like a fool, to make me laugh. But behind the silly facade, he has real rhythm in those latin hips!

Okay, this list is getting too long. But these are things I never would have thought to look for, but now quite frankly, I couldn't live without. Well, these and many, many more things.

Basically I think I found the best man in the world to marry me. I'm feeling quite insignificant comparing myself to him, so I'm going to end this now.

I love you, Chancho Malo!
