So Blessed!

Well, we did it. We made the moce across town, into a bigger, better apartment. Bigger because of the sqaure footage in the bedrooms, and better because of the area, and also because now I have a laundry room and central air! And also, an actual dining room. I pretty much love our new place. As soon as I can get pics of it, I will post them, because it's just fabulous. Now that I have it, I don't know how I lived without central air. I like to lay sprawled out on my bed, right below the vent, and just let the cold air flow-- it's bliss! Especially with a huge belly, which seems to generate enough heat to melt a glacier.

I also really really appreciate having my laundry room. Thanks to a very nice lady at church, I also now have a washer and dryer to go in said laundry room. I used them last night. It was the nicest thing in the world to be able to start washing whenever I wanted to, not to have to worry about someone waiting to use them, or taking my delicates out before I get to them! My dryer didn't get my clothes all the way dry, but I was using a very low setting, so I'm gonna give it another whirl tonight and see what happens.

Either way, I am lucky to have one! I feel very blessed to be able to live more comfortably. And, also very blessed to have the help of friends and family. My dad and Ricardo were the only ones unloading the truck, no one else showed up! They were dripping sweat, as they carried all the contents of the 26 foot U-Haul up the cement steps to our 2nd story apartment. And in the meantime, my mom was taking care of Ellie. Later, Allen and Lorena came, and Allen helped carry up the washer and dryer, and install both for us. They were at our house for 12 hours that Saturday-- Lorena unpacked my whole kitchen and put everything away for me, and Allen installed our new light fixture in the dining room. They also went with Ricardo to grab the remaining items, including food, from the old apartment, and to buy a new cable for the dryer and to return the truck. They didn't leave until after 1 am!

We have such great family and friends! We're blessed to have such special people in our lives. Thanks to all of you!
