Big E, Little E, what's new with the E's??
A few random things...
Little E. passed her hearing test today! And, we figured out how to get her to go to sleep when she's screaming her head off. We put her belly-side down on a pillow, with her head tilted so her fat cheek is resting on her arms, and pound pat her back while she screams until she goes to sleep. And, we usually put on some Radio Corazon, she loves the music and calms down faster.
Big E. started Primary on Sunday!!! I felt so old. Or rather, I felt like my daughter was so old and I felt a little nostalgic about the whole thing... I peeked in on her a few times through the glass cutout in the door of the Primary room. They were singing the Snowman song, and she was in her element. She LOVES singing. And, she loves her teacher, and told us all about Sister Kaiser when she got home. She did excellently. Which we weren't sure about... in the morning she woke up protesting that she was "too small to sing with the big kids." So little to experience anxiety! :)
The other day, Ricardo grabbed little E, and held her out in front of him, chasing big E. around the house. He spoke in a shrill voice (imitating how little E. would sound if she talked), and said he wanted to give the big E. some kisses. Big E. ran through the house screaming, as Ricardo and little E. chased her. Little E. was chill during the whole thing, despite being used as a weapon to make big E. scream. Actually, it was her spit that was being used as a weapon. Big E. hates little E.'s drool. Ha, ha :D
Big E. is really good with little E. though, putting a suckie or a bottle in her mouth whenever she screams.
But the other day, little E. was not calming down, despite big E's greatest efforts. Finally, the big E. leaned down into little E's screaming red face and said, "Eva-- I'm TIRED of you!"
Fun times for all :)
