It DOES exist!

Ricardo spoke at church today. Or should I call him, Richard G. Escobar (that would be his general authority name, he always says. You know. If he were one. Don't act like your husbands don't dream too).

He did awesome. When I speak, I don't get any many compliments as he got today! I was proud of him.

In other news, recent evidence shows that sisterly love between the Eva-nator and Ell's Bells may in fact exist.

Remember when I won the Mom of the Year award by locking my small children and husband out of the house and they were left to walk to the pharmacy in the cold and darkness so they could borrow a phone to call me to come home and let them in?  You don't remember that? HERE's a link to the photos and a short story. I don't know why I didn't blog about that.

Anyway, as my husband was walking home with Ellie by the hand and carrying Eva's heavy carseat with his other hand, Eva began to cry. You know, 'cause she was cold. And hungry.
And her mother locked her out of the house.

Ellie looked across at her and said through chattering teeth, "It's okay Eva, our Papi is with us!"

That was the first piece of evidence that Ellie may actually like Eva. She comforted her in a scary situation.

Tonight Ellie was laying in bed screaming something while I fed Eva a bottle. I couldn't make it out. When Eva finished her bottle and her eyelids were fluttering shut I made my way to Ellie's room and heard what she was screaming:

"MOMMY, can Eva please come and sleep in my room with me again?"

I was touched. She does love her. She depends on her for company when she's nervous in the dark. And no matter how much Ellie runs from Eva, gags when she sees Eva's spit-up, gags when watching Eva eat cereal, and complains when Eva cries, I know that she loves her.

She can't hide it from me :)

I can't say my husband dreams of his general authority name, but hey, it's great to dream.

Ellie just wants to make sure eva is the real thing. She doesn't give her love away that easily. :)
